The Advantage
Every hyperAlbum includes
up to two hours of digital video, 100 images
in a Photo Parade™,
chapter marks every 5 minutes, direct disc
printing, and a full size DVD case with insert.
To maximize
the quality of the video, several types of
digital enhancements are employed.

Digital Noise
Reduction* -
The noise inherent to analog sources such
as VHS significantly reduces the quality
of the
final transfer. Noise reduction sharpens
the video and greatly improves the transfer
to digital

Time Base Correction - TBC is used to remove variations
in the video synchronizing signals inherent
to analog tape. TBC results in a cleaner video
without skewing or other distortions.

Variable Bit
Rate - Using
a complicated formula, every hyperAlbum is
encoded to provide maximum quality. VBR dynamically
monitors the video and adjusts the transfer's
parameters, so you get the best picture possible.

Dolby Digital
Sound (AC3)
- AC3 encoding is what almost all Hollywood
movies use for their soundtracks because
of its high quality.
- Photo Parades -
Unlike regular photo albums, a Photo
Parades will never fade, yellow, or
age with time, making it great way
to display the most precious moments in your
life. Photo Parades can contain
up to 500 pictures and are set to custom
designed and fitted soundtracks with gentle
transitions between photos. Select from Classical,
Country/Folk, Fusion, Jazz, Latin, Lounge,
New Age, Rock or Techno music.
- Direct Disc Printing -
Direct disc printing is an elegant and colorful
way to label a DVD. The U.S. National Institute
of
Standards and Technology warns against the
use of adhesive labels. Adhesive labels can
cause reading problems, because DVD are
more
susceptible to minor imbalances, even more
so than CDs. Additional, adhesive labels
can delaminate, interfering with the operation
of the drive.
